Earlier this month, ARH attended a breakfast in New York City to support the New York Women’s Foundation. The Chief Executive of ARH, Francoise R. Kauzya, is a supporter of the New York Women’s Foundation and attended the fundraising benefit on behalf of ARH. Held on 12 May 2011 in Manhattan, New York, this wonderful event raised more than $2 million for women and girls in New York City.
The New York Women’s Foundation is a voice for women and a force for change. They are a cross-cultural alliance of women creating and supporting partnerships and leveraging human and financial capital to achieve sustained economic security and justice for women and girls.
One of the fascinating activities for the event was the honoring of a gentleman belonging to a group of men which supports the rights of women and girls. It is wonderful to see that more organizations advocating for the rights of women now embrace the participation of men in the struggle to protect women and girls.
As a non-profit, Action for Reproductive Health welcomes opportunities to meet with and coordinate activities with partners in Uganda, the USA and the rest of the world.
