ARH achieves recognition as a key stakeholder in maternal health in rural Uganda

5 Jun. 2012

ARH is now officially included to Uganda’s Ministry of Health maternal health Cluster to contribute to the improvement of maternal health.

Still a young non-profit organization, Action for Reproductive Health (ARH) is establishing a role for itself in the maternal health cluster which maintains a dialogue on  improving the maternal and child  health in Uganda. ARH is now an official partner with  the Ministry of Health in Uganda, thereby enabling us to have a more active voice in the strategic conversations about maternal and reproductive health in rural Uganda.

Considering this significant achievement, Francoise R. Kauzya, Executive Director of ARH, expressed her views on the importance of ARH’s appointment:

“We were always confident of our knowledge and capacity to deliver value not only to the men, women and families that we serve, but also to those charged with developing health policies and programs in Uganda.  This partnership will have a significant impact on our work as we have achieved public recognition as a non-profit with the skills and experience to improve reproductive and maternal health in Uganda by actively involving men in the process.”
